This is the Ranamagar family wearing native Bhutanese dress, in a photo that the Bhutanese required them to take as the national census was taking place. The Bhutanese government then used the photos to categorize people as genuine Bhutanese or not (in 7 categories), and then expelled most of the ethnic Nepalese regardless of their category.
